Privacy Policy
Meta Life Research & Innovation Trust operates Meta Life Plagiarism & AI Score Detector. This policy describes how we handle your data in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India).
Data we collect
- Account information: name, email, password (hashed)
- Documents you upload for plagiarism and AI analysis
- Analysis results and generated PDF reports
- Usage logs: daily upload counts, subscription status
- Payment references (via Razorpay — we do not store card numbers)
How we use data
Your documents are processed solely to provide plagiarism and AI score reports. They are stored on our self-hosted server (Contabo VPS) and are not shared with third parties except payment processing (Razorpay) and optional external APIs used for scholarly search (query text only, not full documents).
Data isolation
Each user's submissions are private. Cross-user matching is disabled by default and only enabled for Journal/Institution plans with explicit settings. Re-uploaded revisions do not match against your own previous version of the same document.
Retention
Submissions are automatically deleted after the retention period (default 90 days, configurable for institutions). You may request earlier deletion by contacting the trust administrator.
Your rights
You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. Contact: privacy@metaliferesearch.org
Security
Files are stored outside the public web root. Reports and assets require authentication. Admin access is role-restricted and audit-logged.
